How does one of the “leading ladies” in healthy food and food photography like to eat her Açai? Well, now you’ll find out! Her recipe is straightforward but straight to the point! Açai is (rightfully) in the leading role but is accompanied by a few ingredients that immediately take this bowl to the next level. Energy to face her (4!) kids 🙂
What do you need?
- 1 pack Holy Berry – Açai & Guarana
- 1 banana, chopped and frozen
- A good splash of almond milk
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- Toppings to finish the bowl with
How do you make it?
Take the packet of Açai out of the freezer about 5 minutes before mixing. From the moment the Açai pulp can be broken into smaller pieces in the packet, then it is ready to mix. Cut the packet in half and pour the Açai pulp chunks into a bowl or blender. Add the other ingredients and blend until smooth. Start with a smaller amount of milk or the mixture will quickly become too runny. Only add additional milk if mixing is difficult and work with small amounts at a time. Letting the frozen ingredients thaw a little longer can also make mixing easier. Finish with healthy toppings such as low-sugar granola, seeds, fresh fruit, and an extra spoonful of nut paste if desired!
